You must be 25 years old to rent with Mach 1 Rental. Renters must also have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and no severe moving violations or DUI convictions.

Yes. A 2-hour gap is required between the end of one trip and the start of another to allow for inspection and preparation.

Yes. Mach 1 Rental does not provide insurance. Renters must maintain active, primary auto insurance that includes:

— Liability coverage meeting Virginia minimum limits

— Collision coverage for vehicle damage

— Comprehensive coverage for theft, vandalism, fire, and non-collision losses

Insurance must cover rental vehicles and remain valid for the entire rental period.

Spouse or domestic partner: allowed with insurance verification (age 25+).

Additional drivers: $15 per day, per driver. Each must be 25+, verified, and approved.

Yes. A $250–$500 refundable deposit may be required. It will be returned within 14 business days once the vehicle is returned in acceptable condition and all tolls/tickets have been settled.

Yes. We offer a loyalty program with rewards for repeat renters.

Mileage varies by vehicle:

— 75–200 miles per day

— 700–1,000 miles per week

— 2,500–3,000 miles per month

— Unlimited mileage may be offered on select vehicles with premium pricing

Excess mileage is billed at $0.59–$0.99 per mile, depending on the vehicle.

Virginia rental tax, DMV fees, and state surcharges apply. Credit card payments include a 3.5% processing fee.

— Fuel Refill: $25 + cost of missing fuel

— Delivery/Pickup: $35 within 5 miles + $5 per additional mile

— Late Return: full daily rate after 30 minutes

— Excessive Cleaning: up to $450

Smoking, vaping, or tobacco use inside or near vehicles is strictly prohibited.

Evidence of smoking (odor, ash, burns, residue) will result in a $450 cleaning fee.

Pets are only permitted in designated pet-friendly vehicles. Additional cleaning fees (up to $450) may apply if the vehicle is returned with pet hair, odors, or messes.

Cleaning fees apply based on severity:

Standard Cleaning: included with rental

Excessive dirt, stains, odors, or debris: up to $450

Renters are responsible for all parking tickets, traffic fines, red light camera tickets, and towing fees.

— Cancellations made 24+ hours in advance: no charge

— Cancellations made less than 24 hours before rental: $50 fee

— Rentals are prepaid and non-refundable.

— Early returns receive a credit toward future rentals for unused days.
